Project management

Project management consulting is one of our in-demand services. Our project managers and scrum masters coach and guide clients through the stages of the project life cycle to ensure that their expectations are met.

Our team can also conduct workshops in which experts meet with staff members to discuss issues (requirements, data collection, solution design, and so on) so as to facilitate the completion of projects.

PROCESS
How Do We Get Started?
  • First, we work with clients to understand their scope and expectations for the minimal viable product.
  • Second, we identify the team members and other stakeholders involved in the project.
  • Third, we identify the best approach for the project (Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid).
  • Fourth, depending on the scope of the project, we define the users’ specification, functional, and technical requirements.
  • Fifth, we provide an outline for a project journey or sprint roadmap.

Our team members guide organizations to select the best approach for the structure and vision of their projects. Our project management experts have extensive knowledge of a range of project management approaches and tools.

  • Defining minimal viable product (MVP)
  • Clients will be able to validate the product early in the development cycle, this allows clients the opportunity to see the work that is being delivered early
    Flexibility
  • Lean, efficient, possibilities for improvement
  • Various methods and frameworks: Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban (hybrid) and Lean
  • Dedicated and more collaborative teams
  • Incremental development releases
  • Tools used: Jira, Asana, DevOps, Smartsheets, and Trello
  • Full defined requirements and structured timeline
  • Scope is not changeable once the project development starts
  • Predictable
  • Project proceeds in sequential designed process (requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, maintenance)
  • Single development release
  • Our Project Managers have expertise in using Microsoft Project, Clarity PPM, Oracle Primavera, Visio, and Lucidcharts

Methods We Use

New Project 96

  • Scrum: Team committed to delivering incremental releases. Specified roles for each team member. Project teams do not exceed 7 members. Work is distributed in intervals known as “sprints.” Sprints are timeboxed, with a duration of, usually, 1-4 weeks. Scrum ceremonies include Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective. One best practice is to avoid changes during a sprint.
  • Kanban: Improving the workflow continuously. Releases are ongoing; no project team roles are required; and time is not boxed. Follows a process of “to do,” “doing,” and “done.” Changes can happen at any time. Best for operational tasks.
  • Scrumban: A hybrid of Scrum and Kanban combining the structure of the former with the flexibility of the latter. The Kanban component helps the team to visualize the workflow. Great for teams that are trying to transition from Scrum to Kanban.
  • Lean: Managing workflow in the most efficient way, which means minimizing risk and waste. The focus is on limiting the amount of work in process (WIP).
